A list reborn
In the wake of Lincon I have a RTT coming up in 3 weeks. It is 2000 points ITC
and the list I have been tinkering with has some elements from my last
tournament list.
Here is the
list I am thinking about…
Daemon Battalion (Chaos Undivided)
Poxbringer
Sloppity
Bilepiper
12 x Pair
of Brimstone Horrors
29 x Plaguebearers
(Daemonic Icon, Instrument of Chaos)
29 x Plaguebearers
(Daemonic Icon, Instrument of Chaos)
CSM Spearhead (Alpha Legion, Soulforged Pack)
2 x Lord
Discordant on Helstalker (Baleflamer, Mark of Nurgle, Techno-virus injector)
3 x Hellforged
Deredeo Dreadnought (Butcher cannon array, Greater havoc launcher, Twin heavy
bolter)
Thousand Sons Supreme Command
Ahriman
Daemon
Prince of Tzeentch (Malefic talon, Wings)
Sorcerer in
Terminator Armour (Force staff, Inferno Combi-bolter)
9CP, 2,000pts
The idea is
that the Disco Lords continue to act as distraction fexes and the Deredeos
continue to doing their thing (mostly securing Kill/Kill More).
While my two
units of Plaguebearers grab the board. The large units of daemons should go relatively
untouched until the Disco Lords are gone so I should have some time to move the
screen up the board to get my Thousand Sons psykers in range of hurting my
opponent.
I’ve played
Daemons/Thousand Sons before but I found that even if the list was good, it was
far to easy for the opponent to make the right decision. You always shoot the
Plaguebearers first, and once they die, you are left scrambling to keep your
characters alive. My idea is that it will be much harder for my opponent to
prioritize targets when you have three Deredeos and two Disco Lords to deal
with on top of the daemon horde they need to kill to reach the psykers.
I will try
to get some test games in and see where it goes, my gut tells me that this list
could be very strong.
